I know i have been out of this blogger thing for a while,i never thought it could happen. Ever since the Black Twang post i have been as busy as a bee + i haven't been able to shoot for a while,since i like posting photos,so here are a few of some flicks i have not posted,more like the deleted scenes in a flick. A great weekend it was,Harambee stars Won.Few people in the stadium chanting political slogans,i thought to myself "men thats so a December away".

Went for the Blak Twang show,it was good.I have not been keen on this particular MC,i realised that one of my favourite hiphop tracks came from him,off his 1996 album.Though he concentrated on his latest projects which has a Ragga kind of a feel.Thus the tag "GOOD"

Saturday was a very busy day for me,until in the evening.As i was talking with some of my friends at ,i realized how i was enjoying all the noise and hustle of the day,something i thought was not going to come soon.I thought i could share the images with you.

The most hyped up Wapi happened on the 26th,i had very little psych for it.Since i don't like hyped up stuff.Me and the boys decided to pop in and find out what was really going on.On our way i couldn't help noticing how much upper hill had so many architectural structures coming up.The finest i believe.

The British council was full in effect,and as much as i thought i was a bit tall,i realized how short i really am,I blame that on hanging out with really short people.I could nt see anything but this...

It was then that i noticed this Ghetto Fm flier it,s so wicked i just want mine as a collectors item.

Imani House of Fashion is where all the chics with a sense of fashion should dig in.I have a felling i have said this before.

So if you are not in here then you were not there.

Graff was entirely done based on the theme Peace,it was very encouraging to see how everybody was getting along with each other despite the ongoing political issues.Just hope other young people might lead with the same example around the country.
I liked each of the pieces,Since every artist had different perspectives of expressing themselves.

Ink has not yet dried from my small left finger yet,i was thinking that before it did i would have known my preferred candidates fate.Seems we,ll just have to wait.
I was disappointed to see that other people did not have enough patience to wait for the results and resulted to pelting stones,looting,engaging the police.......I was hoping everything would be okay,and come January everybody would go back to their hustle.Guess not!

I have been out of this space for a while,let me just say i have been locked down by work like a bee!!But not to the extent of missing last weeks wapi.

The sun was shining,i believe it was a great thing.

Thursday was a boring day,kind of like the days when you start dosing in the afternoon.Not that you have nothing to do, times when you are given a job which requires you to do repeatative work...have you ever imagined being locked up in a jail,and the national anthem of Japan is played back to back for like 5 years,im trying to imagine what would happen if you came out of that cell,you would probably be singing to your girl the same tune all day,and then she would think you are a psycho and leave you most probably!!....thats the point were i almost hit one of my speakers and woke up.I need a raise,maybe that will motivate me.
So yesterday was battle of rock bands at the UN recreation centre.Here are some of the pictures!!
Marfys flow made me want to give them 5 points after their first song in the score cards,like copy and paste against all their other songs!!
Navarone is a hardcore rock band,more like hard rock.One thing that i have to give props for this band is that all of their songs were original+the drummist* was on fire thought he was doing 10 beats per second.If i were a judge i would choose them for their originality,great skills and coordination.
M20 is a soft rock band,it would make for the band that would sing as the sun sets in a Dhow somewhere in Diani...Just you and your whole family on that happy family moment(Rare)having some roast meat,and talking about the good old days.

Meanwhile am of to my bosses office,Mr....Here i come!!!!!!!!!!

Back to the British council,again!!!this time round i was actually concentrating on the graff pieces,i just wanted to see for myself from scratch to the end!!Thus the graff pictures.
Nuru bahati,s Biro pieces are always out of this world.One thing i know about art is that you can translate anything to have a meaning ,i have seen people using all sort of things and body parts for painting or drawing.I think people are just trying to outsmart each other,to me all that matters is the outcome.

I liked this too,i guesse it was done by chalk&charcoal.

If we all live in this city and probably dont know who this is then,i suggest you have been sleeping.just look around you,ll see your art head been sleepin.

This here is always my favourite spot,wonder why any of this guy,s pieces have never been chosen as the best if you ask me he deserves it the most,next to him is also another of the greatest artist,your art head would be sleepin if you dont know him.Great team work.

Just the other day i was asked to take some pictures for a project,i thought it would have been a big task (women wielding their purses in protest of being taken pictures,security men asking why you are taking pics of them,some people posing...,when i got there i was first shocked to find that at the exact same spot where i was dosing the previous day while sitting next to 2 very conversant women,was all clear with no cars and very few people.Well i decided to just post some of the pictures!!

My Friday on blur!!

Posting has been a bit hard for me,eveyone is on leave!!so that means am been overworked from all corners and there aint no break into that.Yesterday was the climax,until i gave him the 'LOOK'my boss that is,it reminds me of way back when i was in high school and i was there looking at the floor receiving some cane,and when the pain became too much i would give the headmaster the 'LOOk'!!that sometimes saved me and at times got me a bonus cane!Dude had to be brave.On this particular situation it actually saved me,i think it rang to him that dude is all by himself,let me just give him a break.
So Friday been a not so busy day,thank God because i would have made him look stupid and while on his sofa,couch,whetever he sits on at night,it would have poped to him how stupid i made him look.But he really cant do anything about it,i know he needs me.I LOVE WHAT I DO!!
So everyone here is having malaria symptoms apart from the receptionist,how wierd is that.Today at lunchtime she was in a vest,how is that possible?i was trying to trick her out but she went easy on me.Planning on going for a check-up tommorow,Do hospitals still test people with needles??is it even free??Regradless il enjoy the rest of my day,so should everybody else.

Dead Prez at wapi.

Saturday was a good day,the kind that you would rewind if you had a time watch.
Got there at about 11am,i was hoping it would have been earlier,since i wanted to get a sit.But to my surprise the place was already full.That showed how much people were psyched for this particular day,Dead prez were performing so why not???
The art exhibition sect was very attractive as usual,and true to the eyes this people have great talent.

I realised that Nairobi was a forest not so long ago!!
12.00 crowds were still streaming in!!Now this dude right here is what i might call,the master of all poetry poets he outdid himself on that day.

Imani House of Fashion is were all the funky ladies should go for some fashion tips,i mean aren't we all tired of seeing local celebs on the fashion cop sections!!It somehow reminds me of hellz-bellz clothing from L.A.

Graffiti was as massive as it looks ,though i never got to know who won ,all the pieces were good according to their respective styles!!
Dj Nihal from BBC radio did his thing on the 1&2s,this dude is a masterpiece on his work, those British tracks are of the hook.Moroco is one crazy Mc out there,he did a freestyle based on a story and did a reverse of the same from the end to the start,now thats what i call mad Skills.
If you dont have the new album by Mr.Ree then your album collection is missing a good companion,go to the nearest retail store and ask for a copy,it almost was sold out on release!!The fathers of hiphop in Kenya(k-shaka)also had there time just right before the main show,more of like curtain raisers.Am thinking they should laylow unless they want to be like MJ during the Wizards Return or maybe they should just get a good producer and do a good album.

Mama C- was once a Black panther,and also is a great poet too.She gave as all some words of wisdom through her poem.
First to come out was Umi,now this dude has mad talent people,his beats are good.We got to listen to his unreleased material first,his album sure has great potential in the hiphop market.The moment everyone was waiting for,M1 of dead prez.I came to learn this guy is filled with wisdom the moment he asked for permission to speak from Mama C.He also lectured on the importance of our freedom fighters from both the countries.esp Asanta shakur,Rosa parks,Malcom.....

I have not posted since the rock concert,soo many events and not much time to blog.Though Wapi was good as usual.Maybe next time i,ll have images.
Have you ever been in such a good situation and then all of a sudden something happens and you are like $h***!!!Well...
1)Its a Friday evening and you just cant wait until its 5,oclock and you are out of the office.Damn even the bosses are not around.You get to the Stage and dont care if its a city hoppa or the crude matatus.You hop into a Matatu and sit at the front seat,Banging old skool beats in fact its a song you last heard on rap em or Jam a delic.You are even noding your head,pesa hapo mbele!!You give out your fare,and the conductor loudly shouts..Dunga naba ereven(press eleven)and the driver proudly does so,at the back of your head you are like.come on men!!!give a brother a break.That was good music.so number eleven goes something in the tune of daddy yankee.At this point you slowly start dying of boredome and build castles until you alight,this are times when you even forget change+One of the great reasons why i prefer city hoppa!!!
2)Its a Monday evening and you have just got into your crib from the hustles of the day.And fly on the bed.Should i cook or just sleep?you first decide to browse on your cd collection and get music that will motivate you.You slowly insert it to your player and sit on a chair,on the first track you are actually nodding,the next track you are really singing along,at this moment you wake up and start preparing supper,checking if all the ingredients are were you left them some time back,you even go to the extent of going to the shop and buying more stuff.You have grabbed a knife and you are now even dancing and singing loudly and dont give a... about the old stuborn lady next door,at this moment you are about to slice an onion,infact you are halfway cutting,suddenly....the lights go out,and you are like F******.Its all dark and its just you and your onion and by the time you find a candle your eyes are filled with tears,looking like a blond who has just been crowned queen .You are eventually woken up by the smell of burnt food and smoke,since you overslept.What more can one ask on a Monday!!

Just the other day i was watching some of our own videos,and by standard most have failed.Maybe its a good start and when we,ll have the resources and finance then good videos will be directed.i especially like the one by Wakamba Wiwili,that Abbas collab song,etc.But maybe this goes down to the listeners them selfs,buy Kenyan people!!listeners may also argue that most musicians are not doing albums worth buying.One thing for sure is that majority of Kenyans will never buy albums.I have a few by ukoo flani and am hoping to get their other albums soon.Am also looking for K-south,Warogi wawili n all that old skool thing!!!!!!!! Here are examples of good videos+music.I especially like the one by Jdilla-man that man had real talent.
By the way all this videos are not that old,who said hiphop is dead??

We were just chatting with my boys until a woman holding shirts came to us and insisted we should buy,we didn't want to be rude so we just flipped on through the lot.And gave silly excuses for not buying,so she left.But she dropped a peace of paper which seemed to have come from one of the shirts, she chose to ignore and so we continued chatting until a story on how fake stuff has invaded this place came up.You will most obviously know that fake starts from the label to the price to the quality and so on...
So the above image shows one of the funniest shirt label i have ever come across.Makes no sense at all.

Visionaries at Wapi!

Another Saturday at Wapi means another day of a mixture of all the good things.That your artistic mind might tell you.
Got there on time,with the company of my really cool hip hop chic,they are said to be an endangered species in this era of Neyo&Valentino+young joc.Bet she could make most of us look stupid in a HH argument.
Again i did not have a cam,things we do to please people!So no pics.
We found the perfect spot to lay our eggs at,u know what am saying right?not that! you pervert,place to sit!!!
So the days topic was visionaries,this by meaning are the people in the likes of Dedan, JKenyatta, Malcom X.........this was emphasised but its true meaning is more of a prophetic thing,were one is capable of having an intended future vision of an event or situation.
So i was all geared up on watching the whole show with my friend and here comes a call that i should attend to some matters in hand,or else.....So i had to leave that spot abruptly,since i did not want to disappoint anyone.I knew i would make up an excuse then i would go back.
I made it back at last,the place was so full.And all the empty walls had turned to massive and colorful graffiti.I couldn't help but notice all the entrants.massive talent this folks have well according to their styles+but the one that killed me is the one that was making the word O and was red in color,cant recall the name of the artist.
Moroko,kalahari&crew are just the wickedest underground Mcs around,Ojiji my all time favorite also held it down like a true King,he actually asked the crowd to write as many crazy topics as they could on a piece of paper,that they did and true to his word he freestyled on all the topics,that was crazy steeeeez!
Chiz&brain**spthis dude has mad skill too.,Gaza,,Mandugu Digital,Kama of K shakaThey all were repping their skills.When kama of Kshaka got to the Mic he Repd it like a champ,I noticed not so many got what was really going on,but the Run Dmcs of this game were on that stage.Kama was asking if anyone was there then..,i know some were asking where?i wasnt!!!
That was my end of the day,i mean what more could one want on a Saturday apart from that.I was good to go and sleep.Some friend of mine agreed to send me some pics ,ill post them soon as i get them.

Superman at Wapi!!

Super Man

Been a while,i think i should make this a Wapi blog,...not really!Just hoping you are all good.
Last saturday was an expected chilly morning.I really wanted to rock a tee.And head over to the British Council.Where all the good things always happen every once in a Month i.e Good music,really down to earth crowd,good atmosphere,and all other good things in life.Thats the Wapi fest!
Got there a bit late,with the hope that no one would call me on my way there,my big headed boss does that all the time though!!
At the gate there was the usual snitching around by the security only that this time around was more thorough.Finally managed to get in though.Met up with the usual peoples there.
Am looking up and am like aint that Fundi Frank,a clothing designer and Rapper,what a carrier!He was the Mc of the day,lived up to the expectation of the crowd.He gave in the Schedule of the day.Beginning with poetry which was showcased by unbelievable talent from especially ladies,Freestyle in terms of Mchongowano cracked everyones ribs out and hiphop with every Mc having there chance.Not everybody was born a rapper,this was shown by the crowd as they booed the wack Mc and Jumped from their seats to Recon the Wicked ones.Was cool though!Then came in the kings of freestyle Moroko&Crew,Ojiji who is my all time favorite did his thing much to the delight of the Crowd.,there was also massive rap talent from some kids who left everybody's head shaking in denial.Talking of kids,there is this kid(Superman)who was flying everywhere i guess he was in a rescue mission or something you know how he does his thing,Right!!Abbas & Bamzigi rocked the crowed with their hits,though i couldnt help noticing how they have swayed away from real hip hop to crank!sucks though.But they still got mad talent.
Massive talent from all artistic stuff at the exhibition corner.Am always drawn to buy something there.Graffiti was also engulfing the walls like the attack of the clones!!!!
That was the end of the day for me, i got this call that we were to meet for an upcoming project,i mean how could i have remembered that?give me a break dude!!!
And anytime you are in trouble just call Superman,he will come to your rescue.I got proof!!

Today i was in the mood of posting videos,i have been trying to post this for a long time though.

Today is Saturday 19th 2007 .Its 7,O clock and av just woken up,my neighbors might be wondering what the hell is going round,a time like this am usually asleep like nothing, ok this is the day when am up at 10.00am!
But at this particular moment am focused on taking my time on doing everything before 9am,well because at that particular time am meant to be seated down somewhere,ready for my Wapi weekend happening.Its like being in Church in time,or watching a movie from the beginning.,well i have that tendancy.This Saturday i was not even in the mood of waiting for anyone,for lateness related issues.Me,my backpack,my water,my sketch book,my jacket-U had to check the weather.
On getting there i had the usual security check which is always a must,i think they should have done one beginning from the head,especially looking at the majority of the audience who have artistic hair do,s.
I got to grab a seat at the perfect spot,underground hiphop music was pumping in the air.I look up and am like,The inferno Djs what the F**k,are nt this the dudes who play that crank crup on radio.I was judgemental for a moment there!but then i said to myself maybe they deserve an ear. true it was and i was wrong one Dj mureey seemed to know what he was doing on the decs.From Immortal Technic to Krs1 to Masta Ace to Ukoo flani to Kalamashaka,few mishaps here n there Busta what!!!
Meanwhile Graffiti artist were just starting to do their bombing thing,on the walls,with small chalk sketches on the empty walls.As time went by,the walls began to engalf with colourful designs transforming from the sketches.This was happening evrytime i diverted my attention from the stage.Reminded me of Matrix"the machines are digging".
Back to the stage was our great Mc,doubling up as the Afro band Musician.Together with help from Blaze!Who there does nt know blaze.He had a magazine under the same name.
Alot was lined up for the show.And everybody was given a chance from free styling to poetry to open mic.One thing that cracked me up was the Mchogowano Battle.
Mashifta were launching their albums,dope music this is,and they gave out 2 of their albums for free with simple question,i was like..i know that.. but before i could say anything it was damn late!!Thats an Album worth coping.
There is this dude who was rocking a Jordan tee he also kills people with his raping skills.Though there was massive skills from other talented mCs.
And then came in the folks from Mombasa,who arrived late from the 20hr jam.Which got me wondering! if Kama of Kshaka is your cousin that does not mean you have the same skills,this is what happened as sme of the coast entourage members thought,being in the crew of ukoo flani pwani dont mean u r all that.Of all the places they had to start proving their already irritating skills to the crowd:talk of Living up to ones reputation.Keyword here is "Some of them".
Sharamar and Cannibal killed it track after track!And then Didge cooled it down with his neo-soul tracks much to the delight of the ladies,by the way this dude was once a rapper himself.He also called out some upcoming hiphop mcs to do a neo soul collabo.which was dope.
Kids were not left out as there were entertained by a Zangalewa group.i also enjoyed it!Which brings me to the lyrics of one kid who the crowd gave an applause for her great performance.we have an erikah badu in the coming here!
This words cannot express everything,there is so much to tell,but i dont want to dwell on this writing crap,its not my favourite.Next time be there,but if you dont ill be there for you.

Its very sad to see that the great sunbeam is now history,in fact you would confuse it as a battle ground.What was once the modern clothing market for the average youth,is now all gone.It is not clear what the the real motive was.Back in the day when i cleared my o levels me and my buddy had this idea of opening a stall there,the down payment was too much for us.We ended up selling tees and kicks in our blocks,things we have done!
I wonder how much we know our history,well am not one of those people, this i found out when i was asked about the statues of the 3 men holding guns along Kenyatta ave.For those that dont know they represent some soldiers who fought in the world war.cant feed everything into you,go read the rest in a history book or something.
I at last got the Dedan kimathi statue pic,it was a step forward for the government.I think they should treat the rest of the remaining freedom with the respect they deserve, ironic is the living conditions of some of the fighters.

Someone tell me its not seven oclock,one hour past waking time.I cant remember snoozing my alarm.am late !what should i do?,take a shower?,iron my cloths ?i.e if they are any clean ones,okay ammmmmmmmmmmh lets take this slow.Take a shower-Iron my clothes while brushing my teeth-wear my clothes as am looking for my shoes-wear my shoes as am.. well combing my hair.
That was fast 30mins and am off,but am already late!at 7am am usually in a mat trying to dose of the last sleep left,Today i,ll get fired.
At last i get a mat,what if my boss calls me,point where i switch off my phone ,"no let me switch it on again".Ill just be brave and say,"seat belt"and hope he doesnt ask any other question,my boss is the understanding type,i mean in the office.WTF i,ll cook a story!
Its 8:30a.m(evidently as above) hoping on my next ride:"i dont even care how much they are charging"."Do i even have my wallet?",Oh!check!i atlast manage to get to work late,and why is the receptionist asking me where am coming from,tusizoeane,i looked for an answer until i said,"are you a prefect?anyway its been a long morning"(Laughing).And the bosses are not in WTF,as i sit down on my desk i sigh a big releaf.Staring at my computer like a punk!
Tomorrow am waking up at 4am,and that damn ENTOURAGE DVD Season3 am giving it out,and keg joints are not good places to be meeting friends.

Weekend at wapi, as usual it was the same old great event. The usual unique crowd, the usual hip hop heads, chicks that dig,and al good things!

I love this place, it is especially hyped but when you get there no one with floss mode behavior + no cars most people just prefer to walk, I do!

I got there a bit late, sick and tired of waiting for people,much mad love for you all + thanks for the lame excuse.

Wonder if they were promoting that rasta man/Ganja man/Jamaica/Kisumu man. Great tracks though, you have to give props where it belongs.

The elements of hip-hop wouldn’t be complete without battles right? 1 on 1, with six rounds to go. Was funny though! I also think that it was not up to the greatest standard, think they should do auditions for this.

Nothing is as boring as the end of this great show, Next time ill get there early enough to tell the whole tall tale in detail. , makes me want to say….. that’s all folks!

It has been an interesting week so far,Frankly am enjoying it instead of moarning about it.Reason?My camera broke down on Saturday,the day i was meant to take photos of my favourite joint of the month,The wapi fest.
The day started/ended with me arriving late for the show,reason?i was waiting for some so called people.mad love to you all.
But for the short time i was there was good enough for me to enjoy,how about 1 hr going for a whole good 10mins,well Psychologicaly!and then the show was over!
If you were there or not there is this Abass/with this white hiphop chic song.I believe they were shooting a video for it.Nice set though,natural atmosphere with the perfect crowd and also nice Original graffiti background.
Down to the exhibition section was this talented brothers+sisters doing their artistic thing,cool tshirts,ornaments,canvases...........
The music was also great for everybodies ears & soul,i heard this argument about how hiphop cant be soulful,for your info,hiphop is not about the F,s and Ish,s.Apparently majority of the poeple think so.If you dig deeper and go to the direction of Dead prez,Roots,Mos def,Talib,Some Nas,...One will most def find that hiphop is truely educative.
Some unfriendly visitors also paid us a visit.If you ask me they were dressed to kill,with full military gear and alterary.If they were someones body guard then i suggest,i want that too!but if they came in to arrest someone then F* that too.

I know am not tripin,am just trying to xpress all the 2007 ish and all,the year ahead seems as beautiful as ever,did anyone notice how abruptly it was so shiny on 1st,to me that was a symbolisation of my bright year ahead.

What a saturday,I had so much to do.A meeting in the morning,an outing in the afternoon,and a nite out in the evening.One of this never happenend.
In the afternoon me and my people went to the Wapi organised show,So much was going on in there.The perfect crowd,with a mixture of people from all walks of life but with one common goal(HIPHOP).it is here that we had almost all elementsof hiphop going on Great graffiti,Rapping skills,Original Fashion ideas,Effective poetry,Politic dissing......
All this Mc,s were here,expressing themselves either lyrically or by rapping,poetry.The mainpoint was the output,with some talking of our roots,how real hiphop was never recond back in the day,Aids,Also talked about was the way kapuka has invaded our radio,So the theme was switch of the f**Radio.the show was really not a Kapuka affair.
At the end of the day i ended up being so tired+ a big headache got me twisted,i really had to retreat having had enough for the day.

Today was a relatively fast morning,i got to town earlier than usual,Compared to the previous day by the name of Tuesday.Now...,that morning happened to be the longest in record ,i stayed in traffic jam for a whole 2 and a half hours.Reason?i dont know.
So much happened out there,i slept,woke up,got tired,Then just like Pink panthers idea moment,i thought of browsing my phone for games.not one of the few things to do if you are stuck in an island,i eventually ran out of ideas,mind you all this happened within one hour,i then got bored and started building castles,after giving up on all ideas of trying to kill time.The rest of the other 1 and a half hr i spent catching up on lost sleep i missed over the weekend,think so!
Funny enough i got to work late and nobody really gave a ish.Good for me.

My main man,was taking it to the next level with his college sweetheart.So we had to travel all the way Embu.The occasion was as good as planned ,perfect weather,perfect crowd+Good food and all,there was even this Asian gal from japan she kind of reminded me of Hiroshi Fujiwara.It really felt so good to be out in the perfect clean air,away from the usual town pollution.
It so happens that we were reuniting with my dudes,and it so that all sort of things can happen and we can decide that its your bday today and you literarly get washed,this has happened before.We all went for an invasion into the locals.
So much happened by the end of that material day,1).The gals parents accepted my buddies requests 2).My other buddy was arrested by a policewoman for not belting up,at night 3).My camera jammed 4).I met this 4 crazy hiphop chics 5).We left at 5.am.
Artistically the train is just an expression of movement.Okay!

Today was a beautiful day,there was this unusual sound i have not heard in a while,the birds singing!.I really liked the weather unlike the last few weeks were it has been raining continuosly.

Congolese are not afraid of trying and discovering new shapes , materials or coloways, on the contrary, they are fashion mavericks.
Because fashion is just one another part of a much bigger community called la « SAPE » (Society of Ambianceurs and Persons of Elegance), any gig or bar is an opportunity for youngsters to challenge each other by stomping their brand new shoes, naming brand new labels and yelling prices towards an enthousiastic crowd.
After spending loads of money in any kind of expensive maison, only upcoming Japanese brand like YOHJI YAMAMOTO pay tribute to this specific customers.
One thing is for sure, you don't need to go to fancy schools, or to get up-to-date fashion magazines in order to get in touch with new trends, a short trip to Congo will upgrade your knowledge.

Why is it called rush hour and yet cars are at a snails pace,beats me!

I hopped on a mat on my way to Town,we were moving and the next thing i heard was an abrupt loud voice.Reason?the tyre bolts of the back left wheel had not been tightly screwed and it so happens the tire had come out.The whole situation was a bit scary as the driver tried to control the mat.
We eventually hop on another mat,after which we are dropped nowhere near our destination.
Which translates to my being late to where i was going.
Its in the evening and i remember we are supposed to meet with my people for a drink/chat,that happens and on my way to pick a mat there is scenarial of people covering their mouths crying,Reason?the police are fighting the hawkers.And they were just aimlessly throwing tear gas all over.I cried and coughed like a wussy.

Just the other day i read in the newspapers that they had this 4 guys who went out for a rave,but on reaching Jogoo rd their car went off the road.It was so unfortunate for all the occupants who never survived.It really saddened me to read that.
Just reminded me of days we used to seriously hang out.I remember how guys used to floss in the morning like rally drivers,trying this and that,i mean thats the way hyped teens are.I also remember how i used to see multiple accidents along the way to tao.
One funny thing is that i never used to like the whole idea,One day i refused to enter a mat because the driver had very very red eyes+ dude looked more drunk than we were.My buddies insisted but i said no.
I truly think that its good to respect ones life more than this worldly posessions.People forget that all the time.I experiment all sort of things with bikes,buildings,knifes,dogs,electronics,but not with cars.

Thika town is only 40kms away from Nairobi,its famous for the vast pinnapple plantations,Great town though.It was a great weekend over there.
I herd there was this big budget movie thing going on,i had to be there to see for myself, they closed a whole street for it and did a make over depicting the 40,s,with all this old cars and poaring sand to the whole area to create a sandy road.
Herd my friend is one of the extras,drunk fella.I think i,ll just talk to him in exchange for a trade in.

Its average retail price goes at sh25 a Mag & sh15 for a smaller mag,well it all depends on were you are buying but not more than sh33.Well this whole idea came in from KBL who thought that so many could not afford the normal beer,which goes at double price and in some places triple.It was also meant to discourage the cheap brew drinkers from making it a habit.Some women came on national Tv complaining about their men.Saying their men were stuck to the bottle and heard no time for them in all manner of complexities.This also led to them even raiding those dens and pouring thousands of litres and also beating up all that were caught within,i bet no one could even lift a hand,not with intoxications exceeding 99% alcohol content.Some of this breweries took the advantage and mixed it with methanol which led to some pple sadly loosing their eyesights.
All i can say is that Kbl have really done their homework,the verdict being very few people are drinking those very cheap brews.
I recently read an artical of the same producers saying they would ban them,why did they even introduce them in the first place,if they knew they would ban them ?am hatin.
I once took the cheap brew way back in high school on a school trip,i would want to say it was wack but i have the feeling it was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!.The worst thing was if i made it a habit maybe i would n,t be were i am now.Thank you Mr conscious.

Tusker is like the Heineken of kenya,it is the average beer for the person who does not want to get as drunk,e.g in weekdays .The alcohol content is minimum for the ones working the next day.
Me and my people have been trying to avoid it during weekdays but look at what happened.What the F@*, we were not the only ones doing it.This is Hooters and Edward who is the brainchild of ads like the Trio gas ads,a trail of classic website templates,+so,so much.He is also the brain child who suggested we sit outside,it was so damn cold ,as you can see from the picture,we were basically the only ones outside,Great view though.

I woke up a bit late must have been because of the rain on galvanised sheets,reminds me of when we were kids,how we used to visit our granny in holidays.How when one used to see a pool of water and have the adrenaline as though one had seen ice cream,it did n,t even matter what one was wearing,one would fly in like a butterfly, making the splash of your lifetime.That most obviously meant that you had some explaining to do.Great memories though,now back to the present...
There was this huge jam and as usual the high flying,loud music playing,Big behind wheels,Graffiti written,Cut chewing drivers vans,ruled! and for those of us in inside dripping,window ratring sorround,just plain vans,suffered!.I really dont know if the drivers of our vans are just sissies n thus they cant overlap for fear of being arrested by cops,there is something by the name of keeping time.Am hating!
If you look closely from the pic below there is some felt pen graffiti somewhere,wonder who did that.?????

This is a combination of few stories i have read over the few days. The ferrari on top happens to be one of the most expensive rides ever,its estimated to cost a total of $1,773,000 .
Fashion sometimes meets cars in funny ways personally i think this limited edition stuff,is all about riping people.And that is exactly what some modern icons as Dj Nigo of A bathing ape did, he teamed up with Bugatti to come up with this whimp this cost 1.2million U.S Dollars.This dude has tried almost everything i recently saw his cigarette line.
Another notable one is the Nissan USV+ Ecko collabo,which sums up to shift_unltd.I think this dude is thinking a bit hard by going out of the box.
Does this give you an idea????????Dont try this with your old car.
Well Lamborghini and Versache have also combined to come up with this classy car ,I love it.I guesse this is why they say cars are mens best toys.I can feel the weakness.

The greatest weekend ever,it was kenyatta day and we were just chillin with my dudes,talkin.Reminding ourselves how it was back in the day when we used to enjoy Diwali like it was one of our owns. I remember we had names for all this kind of explosives.The whole situation got complicated with folks from the country side na mamboch,who used to be so terrified over the whole situation,hiding.n having all this nightmares.Thus creating good stories that were told back home.I decided to take some few photos of this.
I also spent alot of time watching all this japanese animated cartoons.This people have talent men.Get yourself one.
The rest of the weekend was cool no need for me to stress the rest.

Afro Fusion Night

Well what a Friday,it was the annual Afro fusion day at Allions..*(i never get the name correct),you know they had to have auditions for this throughout the country,otherwise you would n,t want to mess the whole show now would you?Anyway it was a full house event with people of all races mingling together,see this is one of the good reasons about music,which actually left me standing at the back,great view though.
There was great artistic talent show cased,one good thing about the whole situation is that they had all this up coming afro fusion artists on stage ,and again live performances sound so cool. i just hope they were producers around to tap all this talent.I felt that it was a good opportunity to listen to this artists,because our radio stations rarely play their music.
No sooner had i arrived,then realised it was check out time and if you live in my block you better be there on time or just dont go there.So me and my peoples left early.And to Martin thanks for the height advantage which helped in the Kodak Moments.

On my way to town i found this,i really like this piece with all the kenyan heroes in there + there is a story behind it.See there is another one like this along Ngong Road,il get a pic of it later.Wonder if it,s the same artist.

What a weekend first my boss calls me to go to work on a sato(the day i wake up at 9am,unless am hustling for clothes at wathii.Only for him to come drunk 4 hrs later and tells me we can do that job on monday.What a waste of sleep!
Ten minutes later i get to the bus stop and what do i see a huge jam,it rings to my mind that it could be because of the A.S.K trade show going on.No vehicles to board,but by luck i happen to get one( Am sleek).My destination at the moment was to get to a kenyan Music trade show at the ground floor of 20th Centuary.Luckily i get there on time and find the place full of people,am just looking to see if my peoples are there,and then i hear some dread locked dude call,he was like is that a zooyork cap and vans,do you skate? He took me to his stall,the ukoo flani stand n showed me their latest products.
We talked about hiphop,Graffiti.Expect a bombed a$$ graffiti wall collabo soon!
And then he introduced me to part of his crew, really down to earth people we got right there.
I coped the latest Album by Wenyeji at only ksh500,ill scan the cover for u later.,and i never skipped any track,hit after hit.They have featured the whole ukoo flani crew.If i were you i,d go get me one + their limited edition tees are hot.What r u stil waiting for go!,get up go!.

Here is a picture from my archives that i found lately,its facing the old nation house.This is one of the most congested parts of the city,P.S.V,s pick passengers anywere,well depending on how much they have given the cops.
Long before Graffiti on p.s.v,s was prohibited(1 Month Ago),the city used to be so beautiful and colorful,check out the blue 23 seater van and then imagine its all plain blue,dull ha!The city clock right there reminds me of how late i am or how early i am.Though mostly am late,damn sweet sleep.

Went to college and who do i find there?almost all of my former college mates,funny how people think the same.Ok am liking it because i dont have to look like new there atleast i have people to talk to and show me around.
Now this 2 are what i might say hiphop talented dudes,see the one on the right is from a group called Wazanasi two of their videos are out.I went to the shooting of their 1st video"Asalaam Aleikum" but i was reeeeeeeeeeeely in the back,nice video though.The 2nd one "Mi si jali" was shot in some joint,heard they had to do it overnite bcause the director had some flight schedule the next morning,but the results were perfect.
And the dude on the left was supposed to drop a single,dont know what happened al i can say is "Hit the studio"and do your thing my meeeen.I,ll post the videos once i get them.

This is one of the main streets of Nairobi,which on rush hours its mostly populated,full of Public Transport Vehicles/people/people on bikes/pushing carts/,which brings me to my point,notice the B.I.G pic on tha red van.Its kind of a culture down here to have PSV,s painted with colourful creative graffiti.With the best getting more customers,quality and type of music also matters,see when i say music i mean a real sound system,which makes one think as though you are in a club or smthing.Makes one want to ask,are nt we breaking all the rules here,well no one knows for sure if they are country laws prohibiting all this,people think that cops just come up with all this issues to get the papers(Money).No wonder they all fat,ill see if i can get a picture of that,later.
